Dr. Johnny K.P. Chan obtained his Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Studies and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology in California, USA. Both degrees are accredited by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the American Psychological Association. He later earned a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership Training in the USA and was a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge, specializing in 4Q Talent Development Training. In recent years, he has focused on sports psychology. Dr. Chan also holds a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy, a Master's in Theology and Psychology, and a Master's in Ministry from California, USA, and a Master's in Counseling from Hong Kong.

Over the past thirty years, Dr. Chan has frequently been invited to lead public lectures, pastoral and couples retreats, and teach master's and doctoral courses in counseling and leadership across various states in the USA, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, Macau, and Hong Kong.

He is also a certified trainer and research associate for the TJTA psychological test in the USA, having trained over a thousand leaders in different countries to use his premarital counseling materials and TJTA psychological test data.

Dr. Chan is one of the founders of the Focus on the Family ( Chinese division) and served as its vice-chairman for seven years. With over thirty years of counseling experience, he is a member of the American Psychological Association and an associate fellow of the Hong Kong Psychological Society.

Dr. Chan specializes in treating children's and adolescents' behavioral issues, internet addiction and emotional therapy, premarital, marital, and extramarital counseling, individual and family stress management, gambling and various addictions, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and severe psychological and personality disorders. He has extensive research in psychological testing, forensic psychological evaluation and integrating faith with psychology. He is often invited to conduct psychological assessments and team-building integrations for senior executives of international companies and serves as a life coach and consultant for prominent social figures. Now he is also a writer and YouTuber.
